Finger Positioning & Signal Enhancer System
One of the main issues for obtaining satisfactory results in fingerprint matching is consistent finger positioning between the enrollment and the authentication processes.
Biometrix’s proprietary finger holder, Alufinger, has been designed for such purpose with a set of unique features.

• An ergonomic design that comfortably fits most fingers and acts as a cradle to guide the user when positioning his finger each time he wants to be authenticated in an S3K.
• A tiny wedge, mounted on the top, which fixes the first knuckle of the user’s finger in place. This wedge has two functions: a) prevents the finger from moving during the scanning process and b) guides the person in placing his finger in the same position every time he uses the system.
• Additionally, AluFinger acts as a signal enhancer for the fingerprint sensor, improving the accuracy of the captured images and optimizing the performance of the matching process. |

| TIP: To avoid distorting the fingerprint image the finger should be directly positioned on the finger cradle instead of being slid into place. Once the finger is touching the sensor the first knuckle must be leaned on AluFinger’s wedge. |
