The combination of Biometrix state-of-the-art image processing techniques, its proprietary signal enhancer and finger positioning system, AlufingerTM plus AuthenTecTM fingerprint sensor technology, TruePrintTM, provides S2600 with extremely fast and accurate results and a superb overall performance.

HARDWARE ENHANCED FEATURES
Its embedded ESD protection, proprietary finger positioning and signal enhancement systems, feed-back LEDs and a heavy-duty ABS case clearly differentiate S2600 from the rest of the desktop fingerprint readers in the market today.

MULTIPLE DEVICES
A single PC can control multiple devices of Biometrix Series 2600. This gives the system the ability to manage several units concurrently either in the same or in different applications.

OPTIONAL WALL MOUNTING BASES
The ergonomic design gives S2600 the ability to adapt to different wall mounting positions. Optional metal bases are sold as accessories for vertical and horizontal wall mounting.

OPTIONAL DOOR MANAGEMENT MODULE
An optional door-lock management module can be attached to the wall mounting base. This offers an outstanding biometric access control solution at a very affordable price.

EASY INTEGRATION
Biometrix Series 2600 complies with USB 2.0 standards (also 1.1. compatible). As a plug and play device, after installing the S2600 driver the first time it is connected, the operating system shall automatically recognize it each time you plug-in its USB interface.

CONFIDENTIALITY
In Biometrix Series 2600 systems actual images of fingerprints are never saved. Binary templates based on some of the characteristics of enrolled fingerprints are kept in a database for later authentication. Those binary templates can by no means be used to regenerate the original images of the enrolled fingerprints, not even the system used to calculate the template.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
A software development kit (SDK) is available to programmers who want to integrate S2600 to existing or future applications. This will give programmers the ability to save the fingerprint templates to the company’s existing database.

WHY AUTHENTEC^TM SENSORS?
The exceptional speed and reliability of AuthenTec’s Inc. AF-S2 sensors is based on the active antenna array of more than 16,000 elements which looks past the easily obscured outer layer of the skin or epidermis to the living layer below where the unique ridge and valley patterns of the fingerprints originate. The sensor manages to combine the output of the thousands of individual elements to form an accurate, undistorted image of the fingerprint, outperforming any other existing technology (optical, capacitive, thermal, etc.)
The fingerprint detection surface, contained in a chip (CMOS IC), is protected by a transparent ceramic coating (Mohs 7+, much harder than glass) to resist every day use, abrasion and wear.
